Here at LCC, we’re all about growing together for the glory of God. That means we want to see people come to faith in Christ and grow in their maturity in Christ as they experience his joy. We recognize that God has designed for this to take place through a church community.
How can we help you with where you are in your walk with the Lord?
NEW TO CHRIST
If you’re new to the Christian faith, it’s essential to get you connected to other believers and to Biblical teaching on what it means to be a disciple. Here are some settings that exist to do that:
Jesus calls his people to gather together regularly in His name. There is no way to grow as a Christian apart from a regular practice of worship, listening to God’s Word through preaching, and experiencing fellowship with other believers.
While the Alpha Course is primarily designed to introduce people to Christianity, those who are new to the Christian faith would benefit from the Alpha’s Course discussion of basic topics such as “What is faith?” “How do I read the Bible?” and “How do I pray?”
THE BETA COURSE
The Beta Course is a follow-up to the Alpha Course. It’s purpose is to serve new believers in the foundational elements of the Gospel and taking the first steps as a follower of Jesus.
Jesus calls new disciples to declare their faith through water baptism. Attend our next Baptism Class to find out more about what baptism signifies. We typical have four or five baptism services a year.
Whether young or mature in the faith, small groups are there to help us grow together. We also offer a “New Believers” small group.
In Scripture, every believer is called to be a functioning participant in a particular local church. Find out how more about what we believe and practice and explore whether you’d want to pursue formal membership by attending our next New Members Class.
